IT IS web 2011 for Microsoft Dynamics NAV: A solid and stable architecture
The communication with the web front end takes place via Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ), the standard for robust inter-process communication. Then, IT IS web 2011, hands off the request to the Navision Application Server (NAS), which processes the request directly from within the Microsoft Dynamics NAV system.
Through this robust, fault tolerant mechanism, IT IS web 2011 extends the functionality of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, allowing for safe and reliable modification of your system data.
On the return trip to the web portal, your data is again sent via MSMQ to the front-end Content Management System (CMS) DotNetNuke (DNN). This powerful open-source CMS is the gold standard in easy presentation of complex information on the web (via HTML and CSS). With DNN, you can easily control the look and functionality of your website, all while being fully integrated with your NAV system. You have the best of both worlds!
